What is Stamp Duty on electronic transfers?

Stamp Duty is a regulatory levy of ₦50 applied to eligible electronic money transfers in Nigeria. It replaces the previous Electronic Money Transfer Levy (EMTL), with the key change that it is now charged to the person sending the money, not the receiver.
