KYC simply means ‘know your customer’, it’s a process through which we identify you so that you can do different levels of transactions on Paga. This is required by CBN regulations.


The 3 KYC levels on Paga are:

To upgrade your KYC level, simply download Paga mobile app from Google play store for Android device or App store for IOS device

After downloading the Paga mobile app, follow the steps below:

  •  log in with your phone number and password

  • Click on unlock transaction limits

  • Upload your selfie, valid means of Identity, and proof of address (recent PHCN, Waste or Water bill).

If you experience any difficulty upgrading your account to a higher KYC level via the Paga mobile App, kindly send the following requirements to kyc_ng@paga.com

  • Full Name

  • Phone number

  • Date and place of birth

  • Sex

  • Home Address 

  • Documentary evidence of address (utility bill-Waste, Water, Electricity, Internet Service Providers, Lease/Rental Agreement, Property Document/Government Document) (required for KYC 3 upgrades only)

  • ID card and ID number ( National Identity Card)

  • Live Selfie

  • BVN (Bank Verification Number)
